Adding a player

  1. Open Teams → [your team] → Settings
  2. Click Add player
  3. Fill in:
    • First and last name (required)
    • Jersey number (optional, surfaces on console)
    • Default position — the slot they'll auto-fill into when you set lineups
    • Position preferences — up to two alternates (used during trials and surfaced in the position picker)
    • Starting toggle — when on, the player is pre-filled into Q1 lineups by default
    • Active toggle — turn off to retire a player without losing their stats history

Editing or removing a player mid-season

Players can't be deleted once they have stats — that would orphan game records. Instead:

  • Deactivate — sets active=false; player no longer appears in lineup pickers but their historical stats stay intact in reports
  • Edit — name, number, and positions can be changed at any time; stats follow the player

💡 Tip

Mid-season transfers: Add the new player as Active, deactivate the leaver. Their existing stats remain visible in the Player Report and Player Progression views.
