Terms of Service
Last updated 30 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of GameStats, including our websites (gamestats.com.au and gamestats.co) and the GameStats application at app.gamestats.co. In these terms, “GameStats”, “we” and “us” means the business that operates GameStats. “You” means the person using GameStats and, where you use it for a club, school or association, that organisation.
By creating an account or using GameStats you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are signing up on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.
1. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 to create an account. Players and parents can view shared reports and register for trials without an account.
- Give us accurate details and keep them up to date. Keep your password secure and tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed your account.
- The account owner can invite coaches and other staff. The account owner is responsible for who they invite and for what those users do in the account.
2. Free trial
New accounts start with a 15-day free trial with full access to the features of the selected plan. No credit card is needed. At the end of the trial you can choose a paid plan to keep using GameStats.
3. Subscriptions and payment
- Paid plans are annual subscriptions. They renew automatically at the end of each year unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Prices are shown on our pricing page or in your quote. We will tell you about any price change before your next renewal, and the new price applies from that renewal.
- You can pay by card, processed by Stripe. Schools and organisations can ask to pay by invoice instead; invoices are due by the date shown on them.
- Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period.
- If a payment is overdue we may limit or suspend the account after giving you notice and a reasonable chance to pay.
- Fees are not refundable for part of a subscription period, except where required by law, including the Australian Consumer Law.
4. Trial registration payments
Clubs and schools can charge a fee when players register for a trial. These payments are processed by Stripe and paid to the club or school, less any service fee shown at checkout. The club or school running the trial is responsible for its own registration terms, including any refunds. Contact them first about a registration or refund.
5. Your data
- You own your data. The team, player, game, trial and registration information you put into GameStats belongs to you or your organisation.
- You give us permission to store, process and display that data only so we can provide, secure, support and improve GameStats for you. We handle it in line with our Privacy Policy.
- You are responsible for having the right to enter the information you add, including any permission needed from players and, for players under 18, their parents or guardians. Only collect the information you need.
- We may use aggregated, de-identified information that cannot identify any person, club or school to understand and improve GameStats.
6. Sharing
GameStats lets you share game reports, trial results and trial consoles using private links. Anyone who has a link can see what it shares, so only send links to people who should see them. You can turn off sharing for an item at any time, and the link will stop working.
7. Acceptable use
When using GameStats you must not:
- break any law or anyone else's rights, including privacy;
- enter information you have no right to collect, or sensitive information you don't need;
- try to access accounts or data that aren't yours, or test, probe or get around our security;
- disrupt GameStats or put an unreasonable load on it, including through automated scraping;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer GameStats, or use it to build a competing product;
- upload anything harmful, offensive or abusive.
We may suspend access that breaches this section. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
8. AI features
Some features use AI to answer questions and suggest insights or rotations. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. It is a tool to help coaches, not a replacement for their judgement. Decisions about players, including team selection, remain the responsibility of the club or school.
9. Availability and support
We work to keep GameStats available, secure and backed up, and we aim to fix problems quickly. We can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may need to take it offline for maintenance, which we try to schedule outside common game and trial times. We may improve or change features over time; if we remove a major feature you pay for, we will tell you in advance.
Support is available by email at sam@gamestats.com.au.
10. Cancelling and closing your account
- You can cancel your subscription at any time. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and there are no further charges.
- After your subscription ends, your data stays available for 90 days so you can export it or come back.
- The account owner can close the account at any time. A closed account can be restored for 30 days. After that, the account and its data are permanently deleted.
- We may end these terms if you seriously breach them and don't fix the breach within 14 days of us asking. If we stop offering GameStats, we will give at least 60 days' notice and refund any prepaid fees for the unused period.
11. Our intellectual property
GameStats, including its software, design, content and brand, is owned by us or our licensors. While you have an account, we give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use GameStats for your own sport activities under these terms. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.
12. Australian Consumer Law and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. Where the law allows us to limit our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
To the extent the law allows:
- GameStats is provided as described on our website, without any other promises or warranties;
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue or goodwill;
- our total liability to you under or in connection with these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim.
These limits don't apply to loss caused by our fraud, wilful misconduct, or breach of our privacy obligations.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page. If we make a change that materially affects you, we will tell account owners at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don't agree with the change, you can cancel before then and we will refund any prepaid fees for the unused period.
14. General
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Australian state or territory where GameStats is based, and you and we submit to the courts of that place.
- If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- A school or organisation may agree separate written terms with us. If those terms conflict with these, the separate terms apply.
- We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
