Create a player trial

Build a trial in four steps and let GameStats generate fair, balanced rotations.

Build a trial and let GameStats generate fair, balanced rotations for you.

  1. Go to Trials and choose New trial.
  2. Step 1 — Details: enter the trial name, date, start time and venue.
  3. Step 2 — Parameters: set:
    • Trial duration and game length (GameStats works out how many games fit)
    • Number of courts (one or two running at once)
    • Vote scale (3, 4 or 5 stars) for how coaches will rate players
    • Whether to allow out-of-position cover
    • Whether to collect live stats during games
  4. Step 3 — Players: add your squad by:
    • uploading a CSV (download the template to see the format)
    • pasting rows from a spreadsheet
    • adding players manually, or
    • choosing to collect registrations via a public link instead (see Collect trial registrations online).
GameStats flags duplicates and any import errors as you go.
  5. Step 4 — Review: check your settings, then Generate to build the rotations (or save as a draft if you're still collecting registrations).

💡 Tip

Not sure how many games you need? GameStats shows a coverage hint so every player gets a fair go at their preferred positions — and can regenerate with the recommended number in one click.
